Abstract

Abstract

Background: Delivery by cesarean section can indeed facilitate the delivery process so that many pregnant women prefer this method even though they can actually give birth normally. However, it turns out that the mortality rate at cesarean section is 40-80 per 100,000 live births. This figure indicates a risk 25x greater than that of birth via vaginal delivery.

Purpose: To determine the benefits of home care, namely acupuncture in postpartum cesarean patients to accelerate acceleration. wound healing after cesarean section. Most of the patients after the cesarean section are worried about the complaints of post-cesarean section pain because all these complaints can basically be anticipated and managed. Respondents in this study consisted of two groups, namely the group that was given acupuncture treatment as many as 16 respondents and the control group without treatment as many as 15 respondents.

Methods: This study used data analysis using the Mann-Whitney test. Wound healing variables were seen based on the REEDA scale. Acupuncture was performed for 3 consecutive days to determine the acceleration of postpartum wound healing.

Results: Based on the results of the analysis in the study, P-Value = 0.001 <sig 0.05, which means that there is an effect of the use of home care with acupuncture techniques to accelerate the postpartum wound healing process after cesarean section.

Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it was found that there was an effect of the use of acupuncture therapy on the acceleration of wound healing in postpartum SC mothers
