Spiritualitas dan Kualias Hidup pada Pasien Kanker

Abstract


Latar Belakang:  Spiritualitas dapat memberikan pengaruh positif dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup dengan menemukan makna dan tujuan dalam hidup

Tujuan:  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan spiritualitas terhadap kualitas hidup pada pasien kanker di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat

Metode:  Metode penelitian ini menggunkan deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional yang diambil menggunakan total sampling yang dilakukan pada bulan Maret sampa April 2018 dengan jumlah sampel 100 pasien kanker yang di rawat di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan instrumen Spiritual Well Being untuk menilai spiritualitas dan EORTC-QLQ C30 untuk menilai kualitas hidup pada pasien kanker.

Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai mean dan standar deviasi dari skor spiritualitas adalah 98,84 dan rata-rata skor kualitas hidup adalah 80,50 ± 30,272. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan uji Pearson menunjukkan bahwa spiritualitas secara signifikan berhubungan dengan kualitas hidup pada pasien dengan kanker

Kesimpulan: Spiritualitas dapat berdampak positif terhadap kualitas hidup pasien kanker sehingga aspek spiritualitas perlu perhatian sebagai prioritas dalam perawatan.

Background: Spiritual health is a fundamental concept for discussing chronic diseases such as cancer and a major approach for improving quality of life in patients is through creating meaning and purpose in the life.

Objective: This study aims to know about the correlation of spirituality to quality of life in cancer patients in Public Hospital Province of West Nusa Tenggara

Methods: The study used descriptive analytic with cross sectional. The research has been taken total sampling conducted in March until April 2018 with amount of sample about 100 cancer patients who are treated in Public Hospital Province of West Nusa Tenggara. Data were collected using Spiritual Well Being instrument to assess spirituality and the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire (EORTC-QLQ) to assess quality of life in cancer patients.

Results: The results obtained reported the mean and standard deviation of the spirituality score was 98.84 and the mean and standard deviation of their quality of life score as 80.50±30.272. The statistical test is using Pearson test, it showed that spirituality was significantly associated to quality of life in patients with cancer

Conclusion: Spirituality can be positive impact to quality of life in cancer patients so aspect spirituality can be attention is a priority in the treatment.
